You're the first family running this — before anyone else sees it. Nothing in your binder is polished yet. It's a working draft, and your rough week is more useful to me than any focus group. Here's the deal.
◆ The Ask · Three Things, That's It
01
Run it for 30 days. Start with one kid, not two. Follow the Journal Companion's weekly rhythm. Miss nights. Skip docs that don't click. Don't rescue me — that's data.
02
Tell me what broke. Every Sunday, 60 seconds — fill out the Beta Pulse card or just text me. At day 30, fill out the System Check. That's the whole reporting load.
03
Write in it. This is a handwriting project. Digital notes are fine too — but the pen is the point. Your kid seeing you write in the binder is the ritual starting.
◆ What I Do With Your Notes
Your notes become v2. You get the final version free, first — before it ships to anyone else. If your kid says something worth quoting (with your permission), it might land on the landing page. You'll be named in the credits — or kept private — your call.
◆ If It's Not Working · The Bail Clause
If this is making things worse in your house, if it's just not clicking, if life got in the way — stop and tell me. We're done, no hard feelings, you keep the binder. The only failure is pretending it's working when it's not. That's the rule I ask my kid to live by; same rule applies here.
